26 YEARS OF THE PET STUDIO
Experience isn't something you can fast track.
The Pet Studio began in 2000 with Liza Smith and a passion for doing things properly. Over the years, that passion has grown into an established grooming business, an experienced team and a professional training Academy that has helped aspiring groomers take their first steps into the industry.
Liza has spent more than 26 years working hands on with dogs, developing her knowledge, building her business and sharing what she has learned with others. She is qualified in dog grooming, teaching and assessment, with additional education in canine behaviour, and has appeared on programmes including BBC's The One Show and Good Morning Britain.
But qualifications and television appearances only tell part of the story. The real depth of The Pet Studio comes from the thousands of dogs that have walked through its doors, the owners who have trusted the team year after year and the students who have taken what they learned here and gone on to build careers and businesses of their own.

When you leave your dog with us, you're trusting us with far more than their coat.
Every dog that comes through our doors is different. Different coat, different personality, different history and sometimes a very different relationship with grooming. That is why our approach has never been about simply getting dogs in, groomed and back out again.
Our experienced team takes the time to understand the dog in front of us. We consider their coat and styling requirements, but also their temperament, age, previous grooming experiences and how comfortable they are with the process. This is particularly important for puppies finding their feet with grooming and dogs who are nervous, anxious or have previously found salon visits difficult.
For owners, it means having a grooming team you can build a relationship with and trust to make professional decisions in the best interests of your dog.
